BR-H BAND

CHRISTMAS CONCERT INFO!

Dear BR-H Band Families,

Our annual Christmas concert will be held on Thursday, December 12th.  The concert will begin at 6:30 pm and conclude after the high school band completes their performance around 8:30 pm.  Below is a list of important information concerning the concert.  If you have any questions contact Mr. Reynolds at the email address or phone number listed below.

THE BAND KIDS

  1. All band students should arrive at school around 5:30 to prepare for the concert.

  2. Any student playing a solo in the concert may want to arrive a little earlier and have a chance to do a run through in the gym.

  3. Students should dress in either festive clothing, or formal clothing.  Dresses are allowed.  Shirts should be tucked in and not have logos or lettering on them unless it is festive.  Bluejeans are not allowed.  Leggings should only be worn under a dress or long sweater.

  4. Students and families should remain at the concert until the end.  Please do not leave just because your child’s portion of the concert is complete.  This is a great opportunity for our younger band students to listen to their older peers and to get a glimpse of what they will be able to do in the next few years.

THE FAMILIES

  1. There will be no entry fee for the concert, but each BR-H Band family attending the concert is asked to bring a plate of baked goodies to sell at the bake sale table.  This year the bake sale will take place before the concert and at the end of the concert.  The table will be shut down during performances.  The money raised at the bake sale will help our band program with much needed upgrades and repairs.

  2. We are also asking that attendees bring either a new unopened toy for Toys For Tots or a non-perishable food item to share with a local food bank.  Last year we were able to bless a lot of families with these donations.

  3. Families are also asked to not walk down to the front to take photos before or during the performances.  There will be a short time at the end of each performance for photos to be taken.

  4. Attendees are asked to stay for the entire concert.  No child wants to play in a concert in which the gym slowly empties during the course of the evening.  Please arrive by 6:30 and plan to stay for the entire concert.  It will be worth the time.  And we want our younger players to see what our junior high and high school bands can do!

See you at the Christmas Concert,
